The SERVICE METAL bl101.0 is a 1-inch Class 150 carbon steel blind flange with a raised face, used to cap or close off the end of a piping system. The outer diameter measures 4.25 inches. Blind flanges are installed where a pipeline section must be sealed completely, whether for system isolation, pressure testing, or future expansion tie-in points. This fitting is an imported carbon steel component suited for general industrial and commercial piping applications where Class 150 pressure ratings apply. Installation is typically performed by licensed pipefitters or plumbers working on process, utility, or HVAC piping systems.
This blind flange is designed for use in Class 150 flanged piping systems carrying water, steam, air, oil, or other compatible media. The raised face seating surface mates with a gasket to create a leak-resistant seal when bolted to a mating flange. It is commonly used in industrial facilities, commercial mechanical rooms, and process piping installations where a 1-inch nominal pipe size termination point is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit for Class 150 flanged piping systems using 1-inch nominal pipe size raised face flanges per ASME B16.5 dimensional standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or licensed plumber. Depressurize and isolate the piping system completely before removing or installing any flange. Apply an appropriate gasket between mating raised faces and torque bolts evenly in a cross pattern to achieve uniform seating. Follow applicable codes including ASME B31.1 or B31.3 for pressure piping as appropriate to the system.
