The SERSUAMR ser4/0-4/0-4/0-2/01000r is an aluminum round service entrance (SER) cable supplied on a 1000-foot reel. SER cable carries current from the utility meter or service panel to a sub-panel or load center in residential and light commercial electrical installations. This cable is configured with three 4/0 AWG conductors and one 2/0 AWG conductor, a common arrangement used to support 200-amp service distribution. The aluminum conductors reduce material weight and cost compared to copper while maintaining the ampacity required for main service and feeder applications. It ships on a full 1000-foot reel, suited for large projects or electrical supply stocking.
SER cable in a 4/0-4/0-4/0-2/0 configuration is commonly installed in residential 200-amp service entrance applications, feeder runs from main panels to sub-panels, and metered pedestal installations. The round jacket profile accommodates standard cable clamps, conduit connectors, and service entrance fittings. Licensed electricians install this cable in accordance with NEC Article 230 and local utility requirements. It is appropriate for both new construction and service upgrade projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard supply item for residential and light commercial service entrance and feeder wiring applications requiring a 4/0-4/0-4/0-2/0 AWG aluminum SER cable configuration.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in compliance with NEC Article 230 and applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before terminating or splicing service entrance cable. Use listed aluminum-rated lugs and connectors at all termination points, as standard copper-only lugs are not suitable for aluminum conductors. Confirm local utility and inspection requirements before beginning service entrance work.
