The SERSUAMR ser3/0-3/0-3/0-1/0mr is a 3/0-3/0-3/0-1/0 AWG copper round service entrance cable rated for 600 volts and sold cut to length. It carries a 90 degrees C temperature rating for both dry and wet environments, making it suitable for demanding residential and light commercial service entrance applications. The conductors are stranded at 19 strands per conductor for flexibility during pull-in. Rated at 165 amps at 60 degrees C, 200 amps at 75 degrees C, and 225 amps at 90 degrees C, this cable delivers the ampacity required at the service entrance. The gray PVC jacket provides physical protection and weather resistance. Licensed electricians handle the installation and termination of this cable at the meter base and main panel.
This SER cable is used at the service entrance of residential and light commercial buildings, typically running from the utility meter base to the main distribution panel or load center. The cut-to-length format allows electricians to order the exact footage needed for a given run, reducing waste on the job. The 3/0-3/0-3/0-1/0 AWG configuration provides three full-size phase conductors plus a reduced neutral, a common arrangement for 200-amp residential service upgrades and new construction.
Designed as a standard SER-type service entrance cable suitable for use with residential and light commercial meter bases, main panels, and load centers requiring 3/0-3/0-3/0-1/0 AWG conductor sizing at 600 volts.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the utility service before making any connections at the meter base or main panel. SER cable must be properly supported and secured at required intervals per NEC Article 230 governing service entrance conductors. Do not exceed the temperature or ampacity ratings stamped for the termination hardware in use, as the lowest-rated component in the circuit governs the allowable load.
