The SERSUAMR ser2-2-2-4500r is a Type SER aluminum service entrance cable rated at 600 volts and supplied on a 500-foot reel. The cable consists of three 2 AWG solid aluminum conductors plus a 4 AWG solid aluminum neutral, all jacketed in gray PVC. It carries a 90 degrees C temperature rating, supporting current capacities of 75 amps at 60 degrees C, 90 amps at 75 degrees C, and 100 amps at 90 degrees C. Electricians use this cable for residential and light commercial service entrance runs, typically between the utility meter socket and the main distribution panel. The solid aluminum construction and round profile make it well suited for conduit installations and direct raceway applications.
This cable is designed for service entrance wiring in residential and light commercial installations where aluminum conductors are specified. Typical applications include main feeder runs from the weatherhead or meter base to the load center. The 500-foot reel length is practical for multiple service entrance jobs or larger commercial feeder pulls. Installation must comply with NEC Article 338 governing Service-Entrance Cable and all applicable local electrical codes. The gray PVC jacket provides mechanical protection and UV resistance for exposed or conduit-routed runs.
Designed as a standard Type SER service entrance cable for use in residential and light commercial electrical service entrance and feeder applications where aluminum conductors and 600-volt ratings are required per NEC Article 338.
This cable is installed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 338 and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the service before making any connections at the meter base or panel. Aluminum conductors require the use of approved antioxidant compound and listed aluminum-rated terminals or lugs at all connection points. Do not overtighten terminations — torque all lugs to the terminal manufacturer's listed specification printed on the device or enclosure.
