The SERSUAMR ser2/0-2/0-2/0-1mr is a stranded aluminum alloy SER-type service entrance cable rated for 600 volts and 90 degrees C in both dry and wet environments. It carries a 2/0 AWG conductor size with a PVC jacket and an outer diameter of 1264 mils. Current capacity is 115 amps at 60 degrees C, 135 amps at 75 degrees C, and 150 amps at 90 degrees C. Electricians use this cable for residential and light commercial service entrance and panel feeder applications where aluminum conductors are specified. It is sold cut to length for job-site flexibility.
This cable is suited for service entrance runs from the utility meter to the main distribution panel, as well as sub-panel feeder circuits in residential and commercial construction. The SER designation indicates it is appropriate for above-ground interior or exterior service entrance use, including conduit-enclosed or direct-routed installations where the jacket provides mechanical protection. Its 600-volt rating and high-temperature rating make it compatible with a wide range of load-center configurations.
Designed as a standard SER-type aluminum service entrance cable for residential and light commercial electrical service entrance and panel feeder installations where 2/0 AWG aluminum conductors and 600-volt ratings are required.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all power sources before working on any service entrance or panel feeder connections. Aluminum conductors require compatible aluminum-rated lugs and connectors; use antioxidant compound on all aluminum terminations per local code requirements. Do not exceed the current ratings specified for the applicable temperature column at the termination point.
