The SENNINGER PRLG-20 is a inline pressure regulator designed to maintain a steady downstream pressure of 20 psi across a flow range of 0.1 to 7 gallons per minute. It connects via 3/4 inch Female Hose Thread (FHT) inlet and Male Hose Thread (MHT) outlet, making it compatible with standard hose-thread fittings used in irrigation and water distribution systems. Weighing 0.18 pounds, the unit is compact and lightweight, suited for field installation without specialized tooling. Irrigation technicians and plumbing professionals install this regulator to protect downstream emitters, drip lines, or spray heads from pressure surges that can cause premature component failure.
This regulator is primarily used in low-flow irrigation applications including drip irrigation systems, micro-spray setups, and residential or light commercial landscape watering systems. It is well suited for installations where incoming supply pressure exceeds the rated operating pressure of downstream components. The FHT x MHT configuration allows direct in-line connection to standard garden hose assemblies and hose-bib-fed irrigation laterals without additional adapters in most cases.
Designed as an OEM-style inline pressure regulator for use with standard 3/4 inch hose-thread irrigation assemblies, drip systems, and micro-spray laterals requiring a regulated supply pressure of 20 psi.
Installation is typically performed by licensed irrigators or plumbing technicians familiar with low-pressure water distribution systems. Shut off the water supply completely before connecting or disconnecting the regulator. Hand-tighten the FHT connection first, then snug with appropriate pliers — avoid overtightening hose-thread fittings to prevent thread damage or cracking. Verify downstream system pressure with a gauge after startup to confirm the regulator is seated and functioning correctly.
