The SECO 75015058 is a replaceable-tip milling shank designed for use with the Minimaster MM16 toolholder system. It accepts Minimaster MM16 milling tips and transmits cutting forces through a straight, 90-degree shank measuring 1 inch in diameter. With an overall length of 3.94 inches and an effective cutting length of 1.57 inches, this shank provides rigid tool engagement in milling operations. A Weldon flat on the shank prevents rotational slip in the toolholder. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this shank in machining centers and milling machines where quick tip changes without full tool teardown are required.
This shank is suited for light-to-medium milling applications on machining centers that accept 1-inch-diameter straight shanks. The Minimaster system is commonly used in production environments where tip indexability and consistent tool geometry reduce changeover time. The MM16 toolholder style is compatible with a range of Minimaster interchangeable milling tips, making this shank a versatile platform for face milling, shoulder milling, and contouring work. The neck diameter of 0.598 inches allows clearance in close-tolerance setups.
Designed for use with the SECO Minimaster MM16 replaceable milling tip system in machining centers and milling machines that accept a 1-inch-diameter straight shank.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Before mounting or removing the shank, power down the machine and verify the spindle is fully stopped. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder bore and secure the set screw against the Weldon flat to the toolholder manufacturer's specified procedure before engaging any cutting operation. Inspect the mating surfaces of the shank and tip interface for chips or debris before each tip change to maintain concentricity and tool life.
