The SECO 74095065 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XCEX13T304FR-E06, designed for high-precision milling operations on CNC machining centers. Part of the XCEX-13 series, this single-sided, right-hand insert features a parallelogram shape with an 80-degree included angle, two cutting edges, and a sharp cutting edge style with a positive rake angle of 18 degrees. The uncoated bright finish and fine-grain solid carbide substrate make it well suited for applications where surface finish and edge sharpness are critical. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal, with secondary capability in cast iron and superalloys including titanium. Installed by machinists and tooling technicians in precision milling setups.
This insert fits the SECO R215.59-08 cutter series and is compatible with toolholders designed for the XCEX-13 insert family. It is intended for milling non-ferrous metals as a primary application, with cast iron, superalloys, and titanium as secondary materials. The E06 chip breaker geometry supports efficient chip evacuation in these material groups. Typical installations include face milling, shoulder milling, and profile milling operations on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers in production or job-shop environments. The screw-holding method provides positive insert location and repeatable positioning during high-speed passes.
Designed for use with the SECO R215.59-08 cutter series and toolholders accepting XCEX-13 series inserts. ANSI and ISO code XCEX13T304FR-E06 applies.
Installation and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key torque driver as specified by the toolholder manufacturer when seating the retaining screw. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before installing to ensure proper seating. Do not exceed the maximum depth of cut rating for the insert and cutter combination in use.
