Product Description

The SECO 74077627 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation XOMX090331TR-ME06, manufactured to F40M fine-grain grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN plus TiN dual-layer coating. The insert follows a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, a positive 22.5-degree rake angle, and a 15-degree relief angle. The cutting edge style is T-Land with the ME06 chip breaker geometry. Two right-hand cutting edges are available per insert. Maximum depth of cut reaches 0.3543 inches, and the cutting edge effective length is also 0.3543 inches. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install these inserts in compatible indexable milling cutter bodies.

This insert is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. Primary material codes are P, K, and S; secondary codes are K and N. The ME06 chip breaker geometry supports a wide range of cutting conditions from light finishing to moderate roughing passes on the listed workpiece materials. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing inserts. Use the correct torx or hex key to torque the clamping screw to the cutter body manufacturer specification — do not overtighten, as this can crack the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface for chips or debris before seating a new insert.
