The SECO 74069524 is a solid carbide trigon milling insert manufactured to ANSI and ISO standard 218.19-125T-T3-M07. It carries a manufacturer grade of F40M with a fine-grain carbide substrate and a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating. The insert features a positive rake angle of 10 degrees, a T-Land cutting edge style, and a 12-degree relief angle. With three cutting edges, a corner radius of 0.0315 inches, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.0590 inches, this insert is suited for precision milling operations on ferrous and exotic workpiece materials. It is installed via screw holding and is a single-sided, neutral-hand design.
This insert is intended for use in milling applications involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It is compatible with cutter series R218.19-25, R217.21-R125, and R220.21-R125. The M07 chip breaker geometry is designed for medium machining conditions on these material groups. Typical applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and profile work in job shop and production environments. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and tooling technicians working in CNC or manual milling operations.

This insert is installed and replaced by machinists or toolroom technicians. Before changing inserts, power down the spindle and verify the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the cutter body manufacturer specification. Inspect the pocket and screw for debris or damage before seating a new insert.
