The SECO 74068812 is a ball nose replaceable milling tip engineered for precision profiling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Part of the Minimaster MM08 series, this carbide tip features a 0.315-inch cutting diameter, a 0.319-inch maximum depth of cut, and two flutes for efficient chip evacuation. The F30M grade carbide substrate is coated with TiAlN and TiN via a PVD process, delivering thermal resistance and edge durability at elevated cutting speeds. The MD03 chipbreaker geometry and 90-degree lead angle support stable profiling operations in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. A right-hand cutting orientation and 0.157-inch corner radius complete the geometry. Installed by machinists and toolroom professionals on compatible Minimaster holders.
This milling tip is suited for profiling and contouring operations across a wide range of metallic workpieces, including P-grade steels (P20, P30), M-grade stainless steels (M10, M20), K-grade cast irons (K20, K30), and H-grade hard materials (H10). The 0.371-inch functional length and 9.42 mm extension from holder provide consistent reach geometry in tight-tolerance cavities. The tip meets ANSI standards and is indexed into Minimaster-compatible toolholders without coolant-through capability. Typical applications include die and mold profiling, aerospace component finishing, and general CNC milling where a repeatable, replaceable insert tip reduces downtime versus solid end mills.

This tip is installed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians on a compatible Minimaster toolholder. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing any indexable tip. Inspect the seating surface on the holder for chips or damage before each installation to ensure accurate tip positioning and runout.
