The SECO 74034269 is a carbide end replaceable milling tip designed for modular milling systems. Part of the MM12 Minimaster series, this right-hand tip features a 0.500 inch cutting width and a maximum depth of cut of 0.366 inches. The TiAlN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection across a broad range of workpiece materials. With two flutes and a 0.4420 inch functional length, this tip is suited for slotting operations requiring consistent performance at 90-degree lead angles. It is installed by machinists and tooling technicians in CNC milling applications.
This milling tip is intended for slotting operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The MD05 chipbreaker geometry supports chip control across these varied workpiece types. It is used in production machining environments where the Minimaster MM12 modular tooling platform is already in service. The tip seats into a compatible MM12 Minimaster holder and is replaced at end of tool life without replacing the entire assembly.
Designed for use with MM12 Minimaster series modular milling holders. The insert size designation is 0.500-R2 and the tip style is MM12, as specified by the manufacturer. Verify holder compatibility against the MM12 platform before ordering.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before removing or installing any milling tip. Seat the tip fully into the holder and torque the clamping mechanism per the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the seating surface for chips or debris before assembly to avoid runout issues.
