It features a 0.375 inch cutting width, 2 flutes, and a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process for extended wear resistance in demanding cutting applications. The tip carries a T60M manufacturer grade and an MD04 chipbreaker designation, making it suited for slotting operations at a 90-degree lead angle. With a maximum depth of cut of 0.268 inches (6.8 mm) and a functional length of 0.334 inches (8.49 mm), this insert is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC milling equipment.
This milling tip is intended for slotting applications across a broad range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, H). This replaceable milling tip is installed and changed by qualified machinists using the torque tools specified by the holder manufacturer for MM10 Minimaster-style connections. Always disengage the machine spindle and follow lockout/tagout procedures before changing milling tips. Inspect the holder seat and clamping surfaces for wear or contamination before seating the new tip. Minimum order quantity is 2 units; plan tip inventory accordingly for production runs.
