The SECO 74018710 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation APKT1604PDR-E12 in manufacturer grade T25M. The insert features a parallelogram shape with an 85-degree included angle, a positive rake of 22 degrees, and a 11-degree relief angle. A TiCN coating applied via CVD process gives the cutting edges enhanced wear resistance and thermal stability. At 0.187 inches thick and 0.375 inches wide, this single-sided, right-hand insert delivers two honed cutting edges with an effective length of 0.6476 inches and a maximum depth of cut of 0.6220 inches. It is screw-mounted and suited for demanding milling applications across ferrous and exotic workpiece materials.
This insert is designed for machining steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium, covering material codes P, M, and S. The E12 chip breaker geometry manages chip control across a range of feed rates typical in face milling and shoulder milling operations. It is compatible with SECO cutter series R217.69-16 and R220.69-16.
