The SECO 74018652 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision finishing operations on steel and stainless steel workpieces. It follows the CCMT21.51-F2 industry standard designation and carries a multilayer CVD coating of TiC, TiCN, and TiN in the TP40 grade. This grade delivers high toughness on steel and stainless steel, and moderate wear resistance on hardened materials. The F2 chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing cuts, and the 80-degree diamond (rhombic) insert shape provides a strong, stable cutting edge. The insert uses a screw-holding method and features a honed cutting edge with positive rake and positive side clearance for clean, controlled chip formation. Machinists and CNC operators working in production turning environments are the primary installers.

This insert is suited for light finishing passes in boring, facing, and turning applications on steel (P-class), stainless steel (M-class), and hardened materials (H-class).
