The SECO 74016758 is a solid carbide round milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation REHR1605M0T-M14 in manufacturer grade T25M. It features a TiCN coating applied via CVD process and a medium grain carbide substrate, making it suited for demanding metal removal operations. The round shape provides an inscribed circle diameter of 0.6299 inches and a thickness of 0.2189 inches, with four usable cutting edges per insert. A neutral rake angle and T-Land cutting edge style are built in to provide edge stability during interrupted or continuous cuts in difficult workpiece materials.
This insert is designed for milling applications in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. The M14 chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium-grain material removal, supporting consistent chip evacuation in production and job-shop environments. The REHR-16 series designation and size code 1605 place it in standard toolholders accepting 16mm round inserts with wedge-clamp holding. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working with aerospace, energy, or general-purpose precision components will encounter this insert frequently in face, shoulder, and copy milling setups.
Compatible with REHR-16 series wedge-clamp toolholders accepting 16mm round milling inserts. Rated for primary and secondary workpiece materials including steel (P), stainless steel (M), and superalloys and titanium (S) per ISO material classification. ANSI and ISO code REHR1605M0T-M14 confirms direct interchangeability with tooling specified to that designation.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed with the spindle locked and machine power isolated before any insert change. Wedge-clamp toolholders require proper torque applied to the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specifications — do not over-torque, as this can fracture the carbide body. Verify seat and pocket cleanliness before seating the insert; chips or debris under the insert will cause premature edge failure. Minimum order quantity for this insert is 10 pieces.
