The SECO 74000323 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying manufacturer part number APKX1604PDR-ME12, designed for use in indexable milling cutters in demanding metal-removal applications. Built to the APKX-16 series standard, this parallelogram-shaped insert features a T25M medium-grain carbide grade with a CVD-applied TiCN coating for thermal and abrasion resistance. The insert has a positive rake angle of 24 degrees, a honed cutting edge, and an 11-degree relief angle. With 2 cutting edges per insert and a right-hand orientation, it delivers consistent performance in high-feed and face-milling operations on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Licensed technicians and machinists in production and toolroom environments install this insert.
This insert is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium in both production and job-shop environments. It is compatible with the R217.69-16 and R220.69-16 cutter series as stated by the manufacturer. The ME12 chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium-grain cutting conditions and controlled chip evacuation in finish-to-semi-finish milling passes on ferrous and exotic alloy workpieces. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
