The SECO 63006616 is a rectangular cobalt tool bit blank machined to precise dimensions for use in custom tooling applications. Ground from WKE45-grade cobalt high-speed steel, this blank measures 0.5 inches wide by 0.75 inches high with a 4-inch overall length. It is supplied in a solid rectangular cross-section with no pre-formed cutting geometry, allowing machinists and toolroom operators to grind the profile, relief angles, and rake geometry required for their specific lathe, planer, or shaper operations. WKE45 cobalt steel offers improved hot hardness and wear resistance compared to standard M2 high-speed steel, making it suited for interrupted cuts and harder workpiece materials.
This tool bit blank is used in precision machining environments where a standard off-the-shelf insert or formed tool bit does not meet the required geometry.
