The SECO 63003026 is a parallel-style cutoff blade designed for parting and grooving operations on metal lathes and turning centers. Manufactured from WKE45-grade cobalt high-speed steel with a bright finish, this blade delivers consistent edge retention and thermal resistance during interrupted and continuous cuts. It measures 2.5 mm (0.098 inches) wide, 12.7 mm (0.500 inches) high, and 111.13 mm (4.375 inches) in overall length. The parallel blade profile ensures uniform clamping pressure across the full blade height, making it well suited for rigid toolholders used in precision parting applications.
This cutoff blade is intended for use in CNC and manual turning centers where parting-off or deep grooving operations are performed on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous materials. The cobalt WKE45 substrate provides improved hardness and red-hardness compared to standard M2 HSS, making it a practical choice for shops running moderate cutting speeds or working with harder workpiece materials. Machinists and toolroom technicians are the primary installers of this blade type.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutoff blade for parallel-slot toolholders accepting blades 2.5 mm wide, 12.7 mm high, and up to 111.13 mm in overall length.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine before inserting or removing the blade from the toolholder. Ensure the clamping screws are tightened evenly to secure the full blade height without inducing lateral deflection. Inspect the blade seating surface and toolholder slot for chips or debris before installation to maintain proper alignment.
