The SECO 17016432 is a single-end, 4-flute square end mill engineered for material removal in demanding metalworking applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, it handles elevated cutting temperatures and abrasive workpieces better than standard HSS tooling. The cutter measures 0.750 inches in diameter with a 2.000-inch length of cut and a 4.250-inch overall length. A 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This tool is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry. It is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and toolroom technicians.
The 17016432 is designed for use in metalworking environments where steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys are the primary workpiece materials. The TiCN coating extends tool life when cutting abrasive materials. A 3/4-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders common on vertical machining centers and knee mills. This tool belongs to the SECO SPC408 series, which targets general-purpose and production milling across job shops and manufacturing facilities.
Part of the SECO SPC408 series. Compatible with standard 3/4-inch collet chucks and end mill holders. Rated for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys (ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholding specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the set screw or collet nut per the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect runout with a dial indicator before cutting — TIR maximum for this tool is 0.0010 inches.
