The SECO 17016423 is a single-end cobalt square end mill designed for material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for increased surface hardness and wear resistance, it handles demanding cuts in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and high-temperature alloys. The tool measures 0.5 inches in diameter with a 4-inch length of cut, a 0.5-inch shank diameter, and a 6-inch overall length. Its 30-degree spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces across a range of workpiece materials.

This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines equipped with a 0.5-inch collet or end mill holder. The SPC408 series targets job shops and production environments where a reliable, general-purpose cobalt end mill is needed for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling operations.
