The SECO 17016379 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with titanium carbonitride (TiCN), it delivers strong wear resistance and heat tolerance during aggressive milling operations. The tool measures 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.3125-inch length of cut, a 0.75-inch shank diameter, and a 3.5625-inch overall length. With two spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it produces efficient chip evacuation in short-reach applications. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this end mill in vertical or horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is suited for shop floor and production machining of ferrous metals and heat-resistant alloys. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, expanding its utility for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations. The short-length classification makes it appropriate for standard-reach setups where rigidity is a priority. It is part of the SP205 series and is sold as a single unit with no minimum order beyond one piece.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production end mill for milling applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys requiring a 0.75-inch diameter, 0.75-inch straight shank tool in the SP205 series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into a collet or end mill holder and torque to the tool holder specification. Verify runout does not exceed the maximum TIR of 0.001 inches before beginning a cut.
