The SECO 17016374 is a single-end, square-profile cobalt end mill built for material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for improved wear resistance and heat management, this cutter runs a 2-flute spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle. The center-cutting design allows direct plunging into workpiece material. At 0.5 inches in diameter with a 13/16-inch length of cut, it is sized for short-reach roughing and profiling operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills.

This end mill fits standard milling applications in job shops, production environments, and toolrooms working with ferrous metals and heat-resistant alloys. The 3/8-inch shank diameter suits common collet and end mill holder sizes, and the 2.5-inch overall length keeps deflection low in close-clearance setups.
