The SECO 17016366 is a cobalt square end mill designed for material removal in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloy applications. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for improved wear resistance and heat tolerance, this end mill delivers consistent cutting performance in demanding production environments. It features a 3/16 inch cutting diameter, a 7/16 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle with right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flutes. The two-flute geometry is centercutting, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional milling. Machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production settings are the typical users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for short-reach milling operations on ferrous and difficult-to-machine alloy workpieces. Its 3/8 inch shank diameter and 2-5/16 inch overall length fit standard end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit tooling systems common in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Before mounting, verify that the holder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or burrs. Maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0010 inches; exceed this and premature wear or breakage is likely.
