The SECO 17016284 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for improved wear resistance and heat reduction, this tool handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials in production environments. It features a 1 inch mill diameter, a 4 inch length of cut, and a 6.5 inch overall length. The 5-flute, spiral right-hand configuration with a 30-degree maximum helix angle promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Center cutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. This end mill is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling setups.

This end mill is suited for heavy roughing passes in vertical and horizontal milling machines as well as CNC machining centers. The long flute length of 4 inches makes it well suited for deep-pocket roughing and side milling operations where a standard-length end mill falls short.
