The SECO 17015294 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for improved wear resistance and heat tolerance, this tool handles interrupted cuts and heavy stock removal where standard end mills fall short. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 4.125 inch length of cut, and a 6.375 inch overall length. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree maximum helix angle promotes chip evacuation and stable cutting action. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, maintenance machining, and production environments rely on this style of roughing end mill for fast, efficient roughing passes on steel, stainless, and similar alloys.
This roughing end mill is suited for vertical and horizontal milling machine applications where rapid stock removal is the priority before a finishing pass. The center-cutting design allows plunge entry, giving setup flexibility for pocket milling and ramping operations. The 3/4 inch shank diameter matches the mill diameter, making it compatible with standard ER or end mill holders with a 3/4 inch bore. It is a regular-length tool appropriate for most general-purpose roughing work that does not require extended reach.
Designed as an OEM-style roughing end mill replacement for general milling applications requiring a 3/4 inch diameter, 4-flute, single-end cobalt tool with a 3/4 inch shank. Part of the SECO REC700 series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Secure the shank fully within the holder to the recommended engagement depth and verify runout before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and machine configuration. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use.
