The SECO 17015187 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, it delivers the hardness and heat resistance needed for cutting tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 3/4 inch diameter tool features 4 spiral flutes with a right-hand cutting and flute direction, a 30-degree maximum helix angle, and a 2 inch length of cut. At 4.25 inches overall length, it fits standard milling machine spindles and CNC machining centers. This tool is installed and maintained by machinists and toolroom professionals working in production or job-shop environments.
This roughing end mill is suited for roughing passes in milling operations where rapid stock removal is the priority. The REM710 series profile is intended for use in conventional and CNC vertical milling setups. The 3/4 inch shank diameter matches the tool diameter, making it compatible with standard ER collets and end mill holders of that size. It is not center-cutting, so it should not be used for direct plunge operations. The TiCN coating provides added wear resistance and reduced friction during high-feed cutting passes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement roughing end mill for use in standard milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting 3/4 inch end mill holders or ER collet systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before tightening. Do not use this tool for plunge cuts, as it is not center-cutting. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds based on workpiece material.
