The SECO 17014182 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where heat resistance and edge retention matter. The 6-flute geometry distributes cutting forces across more edges, reducing chatter and enabling higher feed rates during roughing passes. The 1.5-inch mill diameter and 6-inch length of cut make it well suited to deep slotting and side-milling operations on larger workpieces. It is installed and run by machinists, tool-and-die professionals, and CNC operators.
This end mill fits applications where a high-performance cobalt roughing tool is needed for heavy stock removal. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional vertical and horizontal milling machines as well as CNC machining centers. The non-center-cutting design means it is intended for side milling and peripheral roughing rather than plunge cuts. The REM710 series designation identifies it as a standard-length roughing geometry. A 1.25-inch shank diameter suits ER or side-lock toolholders common in production shop environments.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC operators. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or removing the tool from the holder. Verify toolholder runout and shank seating depth before starting a cut. Shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0005 inches, so confirm holder bore compatibility to maintain proper fit and minimize runout.
