The SECO 17014137 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright uncoated finish, this tool delivers the heat and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts. It features a 1 inch mill diameter, 5 flutes, and a 30-degree maximum helix angle. The spiral flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction are suited for conventional roughing passes where chip evacuation and cutting edge durability are the primary concerns. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this end mill for roughing operations where carbide is not required or cost-effective.
This end mill is intended for use in vertical and horizontal milling machines, machining centers, and manual knee mills. The 3 inch length of cut and 5.5 inch overall length make it well-suited for deeper roughing passes on block stock, fixture work, and general-purpose shop applications. The 1 inch shank diameter seats directly into standard R8, CAT, or BT toolholders with matching bore size.
