The SECO 17014073 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat and wear resistance suited to demanding cuts in alloy steels, stainless, and similar hard materials. The tool features a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) mill diameter, four flutes with a right-hand spiral and right-hand cut, and a 30-degree maximum helix angle. The bright/uncoated finish is standard for this grade. It is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in manual or CNC milling applications where rapid stock removal is the priority.

This end mill is configured for regular-length applications with a 1-3/8 inch (1.3750 inch) length of cut and a 3-1/8 inch overall length. The 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders. It is not center-cutting, so it is intended for peripheral milling, slotting from an existing pocket, or plunge entry only with a pilot hole. Typical applications include roughing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces in job shop, production, and maintenance machining environments.
