The SECO 17013560 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for heat and wear resistance, this tool handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials where standard HSS tooling falls short. The 1-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 2-inch length of cut and a 4.5-inch overall length, making it suited for full-depth slotting and profiling passes. Three flutes with a high helix spiral geometry and right-hand cutting direction channel chips efficiently and reduce chatter during heavy stock removal. This end mill is a right-hand cut, center-cutting tool installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling applications.
This end mill is used in shop environments requiring rapid material removal on steel, stainless, and other hard metals. The RHC752 series geometry is built for roughing passes where surface finish is secondary to metal removal rate. It is appropriate for use in vertical mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills where a 1-inch diameter tool with a standard length profile is specified. No coolant-through capability means external flood or mist coolant is recommended during heavy cuts.
Designed as an OEM-style roughing end mill for use in standard 1-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and milling machine spindles accepting a 1-inch straight shank.
Installation is performed by machinists using a properly sized end mill holder or collet rated for 1-inch shank tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to confirm concentricity within acceptable tolerance. Apply external coolant during roughing operations to manage heat buildup, as this tool does not support internal coolant-through delivery.
