The SECO 17013555 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN for improved wear resistance and heat tolerance, this tool handles demanding cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/4 inch mill diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a high-helix spiral flute design at 36 degrees. The right-hand cutting direction and center-cutting capability make it suitable for plunge entry and peripheral milling. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this end mill in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC milling machines, and manual knee mills where high metal removal rates are required. The 3-flute roughing geometry reduces cutting forces compared to higher-flute-count tools, making it effective in materials where chip evacuation is critical. The TiCN coating extends tool life in interrupted cuts and abrasive workpiece materials. It fits standard 3/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders used in typical shop setups.
Designed as a direct-fit roughing end mill for standard 3/4 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and hydraulic toolholders used in CNC and manual milling machines. Part of the SECO RHC752 series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque set screws or collet nuts per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates wear on roughing geometry.
