The SECO 17013519 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling operations. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and coated with TiCN, it handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where heat and wear resistance are critical. The cutter measures 1-1/2 inches in diameter with a 1-1/4 inch shank, a 6-inch length of cut, and an 8-1/2 inch overall length. Six spiral flutes with a 30-degree maximum helix angle deliver efficient chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces during heavy stock removal passes.
This end mill is suited for production and job-shop machining environments where roughing cuts precede finish passes. It is intended for use in vertical and horizontal milling machines, machining centers, and similar metalworking equipment. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle configurations. The regular length classification and TiCN coating make it a practical choice for general-purpose roughing in steel, alloy steel, and similar materials. It is not center-cutting and should not be used for direct plunge entry.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for standard end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a 1-1/4 inch shank diameter in vertical mills, horizontal mills, and CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully in the holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque set screws or collet nuts per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the shank and flutes for damage before each use.
