The SECO 17013488 is a single-end roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, this tool handles demanding cuts where standard HSS tooling falls short. It features a 3/16-inch mill diameter, a 1/2-inch length of cut, and a 3/8-inch shank diameter. The right-hand cutting direction and right-hand spiral flute geometry suit standard milling spindles. Four flutes with a chipbreaker-style roughing profile reduce cutting forces and help clear chips efficiently during heavy stock removal passes.

This end mill is suited for machining ferrous metals, stainless steels, and other tough alloys in manual or CNC milling operations. The regular-length body and 2-3/8-inch overall length make it a practical choice for shallow-to-moderate depth slotting, peripheral milling, and profile work on small-envelope parts.
