The SECO 17013195 is a corner chamfer end mill from the VFP635 series, designed for high-demand material removal in stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it features a 2-inch cutting diameter, 2-inch length of cut, and a 0.0400-inch chamfer width ground at a 45-degree angle. The four-flute, right-hand helical geometry operates at a super close pitch, making it suitable for roughing operations where chip control and rigidity matter. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this end mill in CNC machining centers handling difficult-to-cut workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for use in milling operations on stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium in both production and job-shop environments. Capable applications include shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill milling, plunging, and recessing. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. The Weldon flat shank provides a secure, torque-resistant connection in standard end mill holders. The stub length type and 2-inch reach length keep overhang to a minimum, improving rigidity in tight-tolerance cuts.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard 2-inch Weldon flat end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials are stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium (material codes M and S). Part of the SECO VFP635 series; catalog number VFP635-2.000-D1-C040.3-Z6.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a matched end mill holder, ensuring the setscrew seats fully against the flat. Confirm spindle speed and feed rates are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut. Do not exceed the rated length of cut when slotting or plunging.
