The SECO 17013192 is a corner chamfer end mill from the VFP635 series, designed for material removal in demanding milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a bright/uncoated finish, it measures 1.5 inches in diameter with a 3 inch length of cut and a 5.5 inch overall length. The 4-flute, right-hand helical geometry with a 45-degree chamfer angle at 0.0400 inches chamfer width makes it suited for shouldering, slotting, ramp-down, helical interpolation, drill mill, and plunging and recessing operations. It is a single-end, centercutting tool installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill is engineered for use on stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium — materials that demand high tool hardness and edge toughness. The M42 cobalt grade provides the wear resistance required for these workpiece materials. The super-close pitch and medium helix style support stable cutting action in difficult-to-machine alloys. The Weldon flat shank at 1.25 inches diameter ensures positive tool retention in standard side-lock holders. It is a long-length tool appropriate for applications requiring extended reach into deep slots or pockets.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists using a compatible side-lock or Weldon flat end mill holder torqued to the holder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting to protect edge life on hard-to-machine alloys. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting tooling. Do not exceed the rated operating parameters for feed rate and depth of cut specified in the SECO VFP635 series application guidelines.
