The SECO 17011893 is a single-end square end mill designed for material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat and wear resistance needed for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and high-temperature alloys. The tool measures 1.5 inches in diameter with a 2-inch length of cut, a 1.25-inch shank diameter, and a 4.5-inch overall length. Six spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The bright uncoated finish is suited for applications where coating adhesion or chemical interaction is a concern. This end mill ships as a single unit and is part of the SPC408 series.
This end mill is used in milling operations across job shops, production machining, and maintenance environments. It is appropriate for stub-length applications requiring rigidity and reduced deflection. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Designed for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. Part of the SECO SPC408 series. Compatible with standard 1.25-inch tool holders and collet chucks on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by machinists using an appropriate 1.25-inch tool holder, collet, or end mill adapter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify tool runout does not exceed the rated TIR maximum of 0.001 inches after seating to avoid premature wear or poor surface finish. Follow shop-standard speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut.
