The SECO 17011787 is a square end mill designed for precision material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat and wear resistance needed when cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and high-temperature alloys. The tool features a 0.75 inch mill diameter, a 1.625 inch length of cut, and a 3.875 inch overall length. With four spiral flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and a bright uncoated finish, it produces clean, accurate cuts in short-series setups where rigidity matters. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as side milling.
This end mill fits standard short-series milling operations on vertical mills, knee mills, and CNC machining centers. It is suited for job shops, tool rooms, and production environments working with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and high-temperature alloys. The 0.75 inch shank diameter accepts standard ER, Weldon, or end mill holders of the same bore size. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow conventional milling machine setups. It belongs to the SPC408 series, which covers cobalt square end mills in fractional inch sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for 0.75 inch bore end mill holders used in conventional and CNC vertical milling operations. Compatible primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys per material codes P, M, K, N, and S.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or tool-room technician using a properly sized end mill holder or collet chuck. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or removing tooling. Confirm holder bore size matches the 0.75 inch shank diameter and check runout after seating; maximum TIR for this tool is 0.001 inch. Follow the machine manufacturer and shop safety guidelines for speeds, feeds, and clamping force appropriate to the workpiece material.
