The SECO 17011707 is a single-end cobalt square end mill designed for material removal in milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and high-temperature alloys. Ground from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool delivers heat and wear resistance suited to demanding cutting conditions without a coating. It runs a 0.25 inch cutting diameter with a 0.625 inch length of cut, a 30-degree helix angle, and four spiral flutes in a right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, expanding its range of milling applications. Licensed machinists and toolroom operators are the primary users of this end mill in production and maintenance environments.
The 17011707 fits standard milling machines, knee mills, CNC machining centers, and manual toolroom machines. Its 0.375 inch shank diameter seats in collet chucks, side-lock holders, and shrink-fit holders sized for 3/8 inch shanks.
