The SECO 17011668 is a single-end cobalt square end mill designed for material removal in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers heat resistance and edge retention in demanding cuts. The 1.5-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1.625-inch length of cut and a 30-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation. Two spiral flutes and a centercutting geometry allow both plunge and peripheral milling. The 1.25-inch shank diameter suits standard milling chucks and collets common on vertical and horizontal machining centers. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys. Its uncoated bright finish makes it a practical choice in applications where coating adhesion or re-sharpening economics are priorities. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional and climb milling on CNC mills and manual Bridgeport-style machines.
