The SECO 17010367 is a single-end cobalt roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in milling applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this tool operates with a 3/8-inch mill diameter and a 3/4-inch length of cut, making it well suited for hogging cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for cobalt tooling used across a wide range of cutting conditions. With four flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance in typical CNC and manual milling setups.
This roughing end mill is intended for use in machine shops, tool rooms, and production environments where rapid stock removal is the primary goal. It is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations on a vertical or horizontal mill. The regular-length geometry and 2-1/2-inch overall length fit standard collet and end mill holders. Machinists, toolmakers, and CNC operators handling roughing passes before finishing cuts will find this tool appropriate for their workflow.
Designed as a direct-fit roughing end mill for standard 3/8-inch collets, end mill holders, and chucks on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder and verify runout before beginning a cut. This tool is non-center-cutting and should not be plunged directly into solid material without a pre-drilled hole or an appropriate ramp or arc entry path.
