The SECO 17007067 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing in demanding machining environments. Built to Series S545R specifications, it features a 3/4 inch diameter with a 0.1250 inch corner radius and five flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a 45-degree high helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. At 4 inches overall length with a 1.625 inch length of cut, this single-end, centercutting tool is suited for milling operations where tight tolerances and clean surface finishes are required.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where toolholders with a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank bore are available. It targets finishing passes on steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The short length type and normal pitch configuration help maintain rigidity during finish cuts, reducing deflection in close-tolerance work. Material removal type is classified as finishing, making this tool appropriate for final-pass operations rather than heavy roughing.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 3/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suited for CNC milling applications involving steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials as primary workpiece materials (material codes P, M, S, H).
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is de-energized before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout against the 0.0005 inch TIR maximum before beginning the cut.
