The SECO 17007022 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance finishing operations in demanding materials. It features a 7/16-inch diameter, a 0.0600-inch corner radius, and five flutes with a right-hand spiral and high-helix geometry for efficient chip evacuation. The cutting edge is AlTiN coated via PVD process, providing heat resistance and extended tool life when machining abrasive and hard workpiece materials. With a 1-inch length of cut and 2.75-inch overall length, this is a short-length, single-end centercutting tool suited for precision contouring and profile milling. It is intended for use with standard cylindrical shank toolholders.
This end mill is built for finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. Its high-helix flute geometry and AlTiN coating make it well suited for shops and machinists working in aerospace, toolroom, and general precision machining environments where tight tolerances and surface finish quality are required. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, extending tool life in interrupted cuts and hardened workpiece conditions.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical straight-shank toolholders. Intended as a finishing end mill for CNC machining centers cutting steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians using a compatible toolholder with a 7/16-inch bore. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm runout does not exceed the rated TIR maximum of 0.0005 inch after clamping. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping specifications for the holder type in use.
