Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the appropriate collet or end mill holder to secure the straight-cylindrical shank to the specified clamping torque per the machine tool manufacturer. Inspect the CVD diamond coating for chips or delamination before each setup, as coating damage will accelerate wear and affect workpiece finish. Follow shop-floor tooling procedures and applicable ANSI or machine tool safety standards when setting tool offsets and running prove-out passes.
