The SECO 17004811 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precise milling of steel and hardened materials in demanding machining environments. Part of the SECO MB215 series, this single-end tool features a 1/4 inch mill diameter with a 0.1250 inch nose radius, a 15-degree low helix angle, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating that extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The extended reach design and 3 inch overall length make it suited for operations where clearance is critical. With 2 right-hand spiral flutes and centercutting capability, it handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight-tolerance profiling, slotting, and contouring are required. Primary workpiece materials are steel and hardened materials (ISO material codes P and H).
