The SECO 17004602 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance cutting in composite and abrasive materials. With a 0.25 inch mill diameter, 1.375 inch length of cut, and 4-inch overall length, this tool is built for precision material removal in demanding applications. The CVD diamond coating significantly extends tool life when cutting carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP) and similar abrasive workpiece materials. A 30-degree spiral flute geometry and micrograin carbide substrate combine to deliver clean edges and reduced delamination in composite machining. Installed by CNC machinists and tool and die professionals, this end mill is a single-end, centercutting design with right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation.
This end mill is designed primarily for machining CFRP materials and other abrasive composites where standard coatings wear prematurely. The long-length configuration and straight shank make it well suited for setups requiring extended reach in milling fixtures and CNC machining centers. The centercutting capability allows for plunge entry where required.
