The SECO 17003787 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials. Part of the SB335 series, it features a 7/32 inch (0.2188 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 35-degree medium helix angle. The AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life in demanding cutting environments. Single-end configuration with a straight-cylindrical 1/4 inch shank and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. Suitable for both roughing and finishing operations on CNC machining centers.
This end mill is well suited for mold making, die work, and precision contouring in job shop and production environments. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, and the ball nose profile is optimized for 3D contour work on hardened and unhardened steel as well as cast iron and aluminum. The standard-length design fits common toolholding systems without requiring extended-reach adapters. Machinists and CNC programmers working with ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces will find the SB335 geometry a reliable choice for finishing passes and light roughing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct application tool for CNC milling operations requiring a 7/32 inch ball end mill with a 1/4 inch straight shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel (P), cast iron (K), aluminum, and non-ferrous alloys (N).
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank in a precision collet or end mill holder and verify runout does not exceed the specified TIR of 0.0005 inch before cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is at a full stop before tool changes. Consult the machine tool manufacturer and cutting data guidelines for recommended speeds and feeds based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
