The SECO 17003612 is a single-end square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers hardness retention and heat resistance during aggressive cuts. The 5-flute geometry with a 45-degree right-hand helix provides efficient chip evacuation and a smooth surface finish. At 0.5 inches in diameter with a 1.25-inch length of cut and 3-inch overall length, it fits standard toolholding setups used in milling centers across production and job shop environments. This tool is center-cutting and runs in a right-hand cutting direction with a straight shank.
This end mill is engineered for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and hardened materials. It fits the ISO material group classifications P, M, K, S, N, and H, making it a versatile choice for shops running mixed workpiece materials on CNC vertical or horizontal machining centers.
