The SECO 17003469 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. This single-end tool features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 6 inch overall length with a matching 3/4 inch shank diameter. The 5-flute geometry paired with a 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Manufactured from micrograin carbide and left uncoated in a bright finish, this end mill delivers consistent dimensional accuracy with a mill diameter tolerance of +0.0000 to -0.0020 inches. It belongs to the SECO S545 series and is center-cutting capable, allowing plunge entry into workpieces.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-temperature alloys, aluminum and non-ferrous materials, and hardened materials. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. It is a single-end tool intended for production and job-shop environments where extended reach is not required and coolant is applied externally. Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a properly sized collet, Weldon side-lock, or shrink-fit holder rated for the 3/4 inch shank diameter and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before cutting. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut being used.
