The SECO 17003400 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It measures 0.125 inches in diameter with a 0.250-inch length of cut and carries a 0.0100-inch corner radius for controlled edge blending and reduced stress concentration at corners. The AlTiN PVD coating provides heat and wear resistance suited to high-temperature alloys and dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank, this single-end tool fits standard toolholders and is used in CNC machining centers for both roughing and finishing operations.
This end mill is part of the Series S335 lineup, targeted at short-length, high-precision applications in metalworking environments. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and runs in a right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction with a medium helix of 35 degrees. The coarse pitch, three-flute configuration supports chip evacuation in tough alloy materials. It is suited for aerospace, toolroom, and general machining shops where close tolerances on steel and titanium components are required. Installed in CNC machining centers with compatible toolholders, it handles both contour and pocket milling.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 0.125-inch straight cylindrical shank. Intended for machining steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium workpiece materials as specified by the manufacturer for Series S335.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank in a compatible toolholder and verify runout does not exceed the specified TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches before beginning a cut. Power down the machine spindle and confirm full stop before tool changes. Do not exceed the rated length of cut or use the tool in applications outside the stated material types, as this may reduce tool life or compromise dimensional accuracy.
